Really? When DC was in the magnet at TPMS, it was acknowledged that they tried to get more girls. [b]We were told the admission process was completely "blind" w.r.t. everything else - race/home school/etc.[/b] I do not know if this has changed with the new admissions process.[/quote]

Whether I believe what you have bolded is completely irrelevant to the post I was responding to. The point was that the same MCPS official who claimed that the process was blind w.r.t. to the other factors had no problem acknowledging that MCPS did try to balance gender. Again, this was a few years ago.[/quote]
