They don’t take kids just to fill a roster so it varies from year to year how many in each age, which is also part of the reason younger kids and B team kids sometimes get called to play up during any given week. As for B team kids, their skill level is high enough to enable them to do this as a sub, they just might not be ready for a full time top team roster spot yet.
