Man are these nosy Nancies going to feel badly when it turns out the teacher was "escorted" away because a relative had been injured or some other calamity had befallen him. What some folks on DCUM seem to forget is that MCPS is not only a caregiver to our children - it is also an employer. As such, it has a duty to its employees not to spread their private business all over the school if they would prefer it not be spread.
No one gets escorted away by police because a relative is injured. Not unless the relative belongs to the mob.
DP. The police came to get me at work when my ex was arrested.
Did you leave in handcuffs? I don't know why police would embarrass you in this way. They could have had someone come to get you in plainclothes, or the County Resource officer (who is on campus at high schools) could have come talk to you. If the incident at Churchill is not related to accusations against the teacher, the principal could simply send an email that the teacher is dealing with a personal family matter.
