Your kids are old enough and I think that you will be around enough to make this work out. I agree with the poster who suggested a 4 or 5 year old Golden. Make sure that your dog gets exercise in the morning and in the evening when you get home. Hire a mid day dog walker. in a couple of years, your oldest child will probably be coming home from school in the afternoons and can let the dog out into your back yard for a potty break. [/quote]
