I promise I will indulge into my cravings after I lose 4lb more
Wait, what? Why do you promise that? Why would you want to negate all the good work and the results (however small)? You'll gain it back with such attitude. I am confused. Although depends on what your cravings are. For me, when I am on strict keto, I sometimes kind of miss fruit. So I might have one later.
It's the men's attitude. We love to celebrate too fast too much! :D But, now that you remind me how hard I had to work, I am re-evaluating your point and thank you. You are great. On a side note, I just tried a 15 hour fast and lost another lb. So, I am down to 173 from 180 now. Additional lessons learned for those who are overweight like me: 1. Documenting daily food intake and weighing yourself make major difference. 2. Never consider advice such as 'you need to see a therapist'. You really need to develop self awareness. 3. I am drinking 5 cups of water a day but I strongly feel that 8 cups of water is a minimum requirement for anybody trying to lose weight. 4. I have been walking or running a mile a day for last 8 days. 5. Consistency is key. 6. Consider not eating from 8pm to 8am. 7. Mint is the super food you want to consider along with Green Tea. I am seriously evaluating fasting for 12 to 15 hours a day for the next five days.
Not sure where the therapist thing came up, but if people are saying that to you, you should consider it. Fasting for 16 hours per day is perfect. I did that for about a month. It had modest results in weight loss, but was ideal for killing off hunger and appetite. I'm the 1200-1400 calorie per day person. Once I stopped with fasting and switched to low calorie, it was easy and the weight came off very rapidly.
I will also add.... I don't believe in super foods. There's really no science behind it. If you think green tea helps suppress your appetite or that eating mint gives you more fiber, knock yourself out. But it's not super food, it's just something that works for you.
