I commute from Crown to Downtown Bethesda. It takes me on average 20 to 25 minutes on the week day. Arriving at 8am. Occasionally I take detour here or there if there is a jam but it is only like once every few months. Other then that, we could NEVER afford as much home as we can at Crown, we would never have walkability, amenities and everything. Kids love it there. We send them to private. Wife works locally at the Hospital. What's not to love. We go to Bethesda to visit our friends and we come back happier every time. googled for you traffic from C to B. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Crown+Single+Family+Homes+by+Wormald,+485+Salk+Cir,+Gaithersburg,+MD+20878/Bethesda,+Maryland/@39.0492589,-77.2887068,11z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m18!4m17!1m5!1m1!1s0x89b62d57ada3e905:0xbff1c158dae7e4e9!2m2!1d-77.2034263!2d39.1112102!1m5!1m1!1s0x89b7cbb76a24022d:0x26b279f76a2bcd0d!2m2!1d-77.0947092!2d38.984652!2m3!6e1!7e2!8j1548921600!3e0
The link you sent shows a 35 minute trip at 3:30 pm. This is before rush, going against rush (southbound in the evening), on a day with lighter than normal traffic. How are you making it in 20-25 during morning rush?
NP but I always see a few psychopaths going 90mph when I’m on 270 so maybe google is just being conservative. I can see how it’s a manageable commute to Bethesda but from Bethesda is a reasonable commute to a lot more places. Thrilled for people who live the Crown although I wish they would give the neighborhoods different names from the mall itself. Sorry, mixed use district. I think the “townhome” is ugly and dumb and the marketing (eg “with the Georgetown package”) makes me hurk in my mouth.
