I'm the 62 year old man in that other thread. That was about my age range for looking when I was your age. I've adjusted it higher as I got older and am being called all kinds of nasty names for saying it's 35-48 but 50s is still a wall for women in the dating pool, no matter how old I get. Indeed, I'd have to wonder what is wrong with a 35 year old who wants me, but I'm not turning it down and I've had much younger although not for a relationship.
Don't you ever apologize for anything, you're doing nothing wrong! This is nature's tables turning against women. Who's picky now?
You're right and I love it.
It's harsh, but the reality is that men tend to retain higher sex drives, especially after middle-age, than women. Lots of post-menopausal women are basically over sex and just want a "companion." There just aren't a whole lot of attractive options after a certain age. Call it shallow if you like, but if you are a decent looking older guy with money, a younger women is a better option than being alone or being with someone that you are not at all attracted to. In a way, it's easier for women because they aren't as hardwired to be attracted to youth (fertility) and aren't as visually focused as men.
