Aside from the scenes from very early in the apocalypse when electricity would still realistically be available, if by generator if nothing else, I don’t recall electricity or running water. Was there?

I actually did enjoy the movie, but did need to suspend belief for the reasons stated by previous posters, but just came across this article today. That is the most f-ing ridiculous analysis ever.  [i]The Root [/i]would find racism in The Jetsons.  Bullock said it was a metaphor for our fears - our individual fears. For her character (and for her as a person), the fear of losing children was very real to her.  So she did all she could to protect them - and that meant detaching herself from them in order to keep them alive so that emotions didn't cloud her thinking.
