Aside from the scenes from very early in the apocalypse when electricity would still realistically be available, if by generator if nothing else, I don’t recall electricity or running water. Was there?

Weren’t the kids tied with rope to the boat?

I thought there were a few things they could have done to make it seem more realistic- disposing of the dead bodies, sourcing water, and generally showing the struggle of survival given the dangers and limitations they had to deal with. [/quote]

I actually did enjoy the movie, but did need to suspend belief for the reasons stated by previous posters, but just came across this article today. I'll probably watch it again with my DH, but racism didn't really strike me at all when I watched it the first time.
