He will not resign. He will not be impeached. He will not be indicted while in office. He does not believe in fair elections. His closest legal adviser Giuliani believes and has stated that, in an emergency, an elected executive may remain in office until the emergency is resolved, in the judgment of that executive. There will be an emergency, by their measure. What is being teed up is his permanent presidency, to be followed when he dies by a Pence permanent remainder.
This. Will the Rs in the Senate hold him accountable? No. Will he be indicted in office? No. Will he resign? Why would anyone even THINK that after what we've seen? Throwing in the towel doesn't feed his image. Will he die? Really unlikely. he's a narcissist. I know narcissists--one raised me. They don't back down. He will create a war or terrorist attack or something god awful to draw attention away from his crime. Blame someone else, continue to try to be a hero/come out on top. He will be supported by the idiots in the Senate. There's no one with a brain around him to stop him. We are screwed.
Do you think he'll spin the narrative? My mom is a narc; I get what you're saying. But "lesser narcs" can move on and reinvent themselves. He's way too public at this point to spin the story. He may BELIEVE he can, but I think this may be his downfall if they finally have enough evidence (and balls) to nail him. so many narcs out there . . . They are all over.
Hi. To me, part of what makes him a narcissist is his inability to admit wrongdoing. I think he'll continue to try to spin the story. So even as the ship goes down, he'll say it isn't. It doesn't matter who believes him, as long as he believes himself. And people STILL believe him. Many of the people in the small town where I live would vote for him tomorrow. Based on his past behavior, it's clear he thinks that anyone who has evidence against him is lying, anyone criticism is "unfair" (my 10 year old is mature enough not to make that argument anymore), and it's all a set up. He's a victim. That is the narrative and he will not change it. He may try to spin himself as a martyr. Unless he's held externally accountable, he'll keep gaslighting and deflecting and lashing out at others. And it appears he won't be held externally accountable. Because no one with the ability to do so has done so. Even with hard evidence he might not be indicted until he's out of office, and that, friends, could be 2024. Let's just hope he doesn't start a war to try to make himself look like a hero. It wouldn't be the first time he created a mess, got himself out of it, and spun himself as a hero.
