The MCPS planning department is notoriously wrong in its projections. They recently changed their formulas which oddly make it look like some schools are exploding and others in areas with lots of development and already at capacity will be under capacity. It really looks like they are screwing with the numbers for their own purposes. The DCC fell victim to this 10 years ago. This is now playing out in other areas too. My guess is that they want to move some the UMC people in RM over into Rockville HS to bump up the scores there.
? How would this happen? Are you saying that they are purposely causing RM to be so crowded that they will have to rezone to Rockville HS? Actually, parts of RM cluster will rezone to Crown HS, however, this won't happen until several years from now. T If you look at the map in one of the links you'll note that areas around the metro line are the most crowded and have the most development in the works, including RM cluster. Also, Rockville HS is close to over capacity and projected to be over capacity in a couple of years.
