I went to the new Aldi's in Rockville - nice store, but I didn't buy anything. I just can't buy no name brands- I tried, I know people love that store, but I can't do it!
I cant either. with a brand comes a certain element of trust. does their produce and meat look great because it's been treated with preservatives? where are they sourcing their perishables from? reminds me of the pantry aisle in ti max. stuff looks interesting and good but where has it been?
It's been same places as any other store! I don't understand where do you think all grocers get their perishables from? I bought Safeway fruits and veggies and so many times it is a miss, utter rotting mess. So,imo, Aldi is just the same, you have to be careful what you buy when it comes to fresh veggies and fruit. Don't get me started on Clementines...in any grocery store, always, always bad. Once in 3 months I'll get ones that are decent, but mostly garbage straight out of store.
