There are 1,500+ Amish living in Maryland. By comparison, Garett Park (where Floreen used to be mayor) has a population of about 1,000.

That's just one group who may not have IDs. Others are those who are homeless, elderly, or otherwise don't have the money or ability to easily request or renew their ID. Why require it and disenfranchise voters? There have been no reports of widespread voter fraud whatsoever.[/quote]

My comment has to do with the availability of identification card. I think this is something the state can do something about  and give those out for free. The state gives out so much money for so many other things the least they can do is be able to provide identification cards for those who can’t afford it?  Even with the person’s basic name photo birthday ( for those who are homeless ).   Does anybody know why this can’t be an option ?[/quote]
