Given that middle school starts in 7th here, I wouldn't want my kids entering MS years without having done anything at home (either school homework, or "homework" I'd give them). The anti-homework crowd has influenced teachers in middle and high so that there's little homework in these grades either. Don't expect a lot of vigor in US schools anymore.[/quote]
