Oh my gosh, this is just such a stupid blog with a wild projection. The honeymoon phase and baby euphoria are a perfect storm of popularity and papparazzi delight. The novelty will wear off soon. They'll both go into hiding in a few months. Then the Royals will release an official photo of Baby Louis 1st bday/Family portrait, W+K will make some appearances, and the popularity pendulum will swing the other way.
Yep. Newlyweds and first pregnancies/babies are always hugely popular, whether it's a royal or a run-of-the-mill average person. I remember those days. You feel like a princess for the first years before the wedding, after the wedding, when the first baby comes along, and for a little while after that. Then you're just another couple. That's perfectly normal. Right now, Harry and Meghan are in their honeymoon phase, youthful and beautiful. In a few years, all of this will die down.
Nope. Look at Prince Edward,a his wife, and his kids. Many people don't even know that Charles has another brother beside Andrew. Barely anyone cared when he got married even though at the time he was 5th in line to the throne after Charles, Will, Harry, and Andrew. No one cared when he had kids. Most people can't even name his wife or point her out in a family picture of the Royal Family. Harry is now 6th in line to the throne after Charles, Will, and William's three kids (now that girls can be in line). He and Megan are really popular. I think both will age very well, much more than William and Kate. This won't die down, especially if they have adorable looking kids.
Yes. It's very true. Sophie (Prince Edward's wife) should be a MUCH bigger name than she is. Especially since she held the stage solo for virtually a decade. Diana/Fergie were out of the picture with divorces in 1996. Camilla didn't come into the picture with marriage until 2005 and people still reviled her. The Countess of Wessex was basically unchallenged from 1999 - 2011. The public fervor can't be bought or bribed or demanded. When they see the magic connection between a royal couple and the people, its just there. And it grows.
