Chicago Public Schools is loosing millions of dollars of Federal funding because of failure to protect children from sexual abuse. https://www.npr.org/2018/09/28/652802708/chicago-schools-lose-millions-for-allegedly-not-shielding-students-from-sexual-a?utm_campaign=storyshare&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=social With almost two employees arrested per month, MCPS isn't being proactive regarding preventing child abuse and neglect. Should the US Department of Education investigation and penalize MCPS?
Yes, when government agencies fail to do their job, their funding is eliminated and they are shut down. A new agency has to be created with new safeguards. That's how government works. (As in the takeover of PG County Public Schools.) If the Board of Education wants to protect their positions they need to act.
