I'm a straight woman, and I routinely forget the date of my own anniversary, let alone other people's. I didn't celebrate the signing on our first house, beyond perhaps going out to a casual dinner with DH and the kids, and wouldn't expect someone else to make a big deal out of it. Why would they? So I really, really, cannot relate to OP, and it has nothing to do with his or her orientation. [/quote]
