So when does every kid in Fairfax county get this?
I take 25 students to lunch. On a typical day I'd say 2 to 4 eat school lunch. Even if it was free I doubt many more than that would eat school lunch.
Not true. We are in Vienna and a lot of kids buy lunch including mine. It’s convenient. Our school is not on that list and does not need to be.
In Vienna, too. My kids have never bought lunch after trying it 3 times.
I admit, mine buy because I’m being weak and lazy. They like the extras and it adds up. Sometimes DS is spending $6 or more some days and I know his friends also buy the pretzels, cookies or ice cream. They add these onto the lunch. My children eat healthy food the majority of the time and I’m tired from working. Buying a lunch is helpful so I don’t have to pack anything, or check that they packed enough. I’m sure they would both want to stop if they were limited to only lunch without the extra junk. Same for their friends. Back to OP, I’m glad the children who need a free lunch have one available. Our school does not need this for every child.
