My concerm is that Jealous is proposing universal preschool and free higher education when the state is having issues funding K-12, especially in light of the fact that many school facilities are reaching obsolescence and need to be replaced. There’s only so much money to play with, especially given how high our state taxes are relative to other states.
Jealous can’t do it unilaterally. He needs the general assembly.
Don't debate these people, just shame them. "high taxes" fears = racist right wing talking-points. That's how they're told in their marching orders to frame the argument - say it's about taxes and fiscal policy. That hides their racism against a POC running for governor.
Oh, come on. Are you suggesting that anyone who professes concerns about a candidate who has indicated that he will withhold significant educational funding form MoCo, and has proposed several very, very expensive plans for pre-k and higher education, is really throwing up a facade - the real concern is that said candidate is a POC? It's preposterous assertions like this that make rational discussion impossible. This is the liberal flip side of Infowars.
