I hate to say it, but this. I work with couples (not as a therapist!) and I can literally count on one hand how many couples I’ve seen over the years where a wealthy, gorgeous guy is married to a significantly less attractive woman. The handful of cases I’ve seen usually fall into one of a few categories: the woman has rich parents and guy is a gold digger, or the woman became ill and/or significantly out of shape after the wedding, or the husband kept his hair and aged very well and the wife didn’t keep up (divorces seem more common in this set)... The few cases that can’t be explained I usually assume are due to a fetish or something.
