I’d argue your response is being over-sensitive. And at least I personally think the over-sensitivity by some Christians is more of a derailment because they could easily ignore the comment than start name-calling.

FWIW, I did research the rib thing and even though I was definitely taught that men had fewer ribs than women, the argument is that God giving Eve Adam’s rib didn’t fundamentally change the genetics. So, there’s that.
