You entitled brats!  We baby boomers fought for half of you (the women) to be able to work in any job you want, study anything you want and play sports. In my lifetime help wanted ads were divided in jobs for men and jobs for women. Women were not allowed to play sports or even run in a marathon! If yor husband divorced you in middle age, then you would lose your social security with him. We fought for the right to legal abortions and equal pay. You take it all for granted. The men of my generation could get drafted into a war that they didn't want to fight. Men became students to save their own lives. My generation fought for civil rights for blacks. We also brought you rock and rock, computers, cell phones and the internet.  Our parents were the greatest generation, but boomers have changed the world for the better for you younger generations. I'm the first poster who responded to this thread. This is why I said it's mostly because you're mean.

If you felt bad because you weren't perfect but proud of the steps forward you helped us take I wouldn't have hard feelings. But you have this like,  "we have done nothing wrong and your generation sucks and you can't question me because I'm your elder" attitude.

We're grown ups now suffering as a result of a lot of your policies and voter and you give us nothing but contempt. I'm not sure why I'm supposed to like our respect a [b]generation that treats mine with contempt. [/b]And you're putting that you're just going to keep doing it with this stupid "dismiss all teenagers because they all eat tide pods" bs[/quote]

I am a boomer and I don't have contempt for younger generations.  I actually feel sorry for younger people for the lack of freedom and security they have post 911, lack of privacy and the ongoing mind f*ck from the Internet and social media specifically, I also admire how much kinder they are.  I am also in awe of the entrepreneurial spirit and creative makers of the younger generations.  You'll be fine in the long run.
