OP here. Thanks! I'm going to join Costco! I was just thinking about food and supplies like toilet paper I didn't even consider the savings on diapers, glasses, gas and party supplies. We're planning a birthday party for LO in a couple of months so I'm definitely joining before then.
The return policy alone is worth the membership fee. And the cumulitive savings. And their credit card gives you a nice annual return via a check. Add to your list electronics, trips, car rentals, tires, photo processing, printer ink, pharmacy, seasonal wear (halloween costumes, Christmas/Easter dresses, bathing suits, snow gear) in addition to the produce, seafood, meals, bakery, etc. Keep in mind, the only down side you'll still have to backfill at a regular grocery store for the small items like salad dressing (unless you're ok with 3 gallons of ranch) or a specific brand/type. Not a big deal, but just a thought. We're a family of 6 with 4 growing kids and Costco is key to our budget.
