That's all and good but when 104 of the 111 schools have it and only 7 don't it becomes problematic, especially when it's paid for out of tax dollars[/quote]

Oh cry me a river.  It is not happening because parents at those schools were against it.  There is no right to free preschool even if most other people have it.  [/quote]

NP. Some do, for PK. And then there's talk here on the forum that WOTP families should be excluded from the lottery and aren't welcome as "squatters" for free preschool because they will be gone by K, and anyway they are all rich enough to afford private. Which obviously is equally true for many higher SES EOTP families, who keep playing the lottery or move. Made me really glad that we did PK at a school that literally didn't have any gentrifiers at the time to give us the stink eye.[/quote]
