There is a viable proposal for dealing with DACA but it needs funding for the wall/enhanced border security, limiting chain migration, and cutting back on the number of new immigrants by limiting to a merit based system without regard to country of origin. If these are part of the legislation the DACA kids can be given right of residence and a pathway to citizenship.

Another PP here.  I am a Dem and even I cannot figure out where the PP is going with this.  A bill that takes care of the Dreamers is fine with most of us.  We are not crazy about some of the other parts, but protecting Dreamers is the priority at this point.  [/quote]

You're a Dem and you don't get it? You don't get that the GOP keeps stringing us along on DACA to get us to agree to other stuff only to shove DACA under the rug again? And then pull it out when it's convenient to get some needed Dem votes on other stuff, only to stuff it away again? No one on the right is acknowledging that they are toying with human beings who have clue what's going to happen to them in the next few months and are scared out of their minds because of it, because they don't care. They don't care because they don't seem them as people deserving of some minimal level of respect as such. They are pawns in a political game that the GOP wants to keep playing with.[/quote]
