For those curious about prices: The next cruise my family of 5 is taking (2 adults, age 3, age 6, age 11) is costing us 9,104.00 for a 7 night in a verandah room.
For ONE room?!?
Supply and demand. We probably paid under $4, I think $3500 or less for our balcony room. No way I'd pay that much. Pull them out of school and go on an off week.
On a 7 night with 3 kids in a family verandah? Impossible.
7 Nights/Disney Fantasy, not sure the room name but it was a nice balcony room/2 bathrooms. 1 kid/two adults. Not impossible as it was a military price and we did it within a month planning. The balcony room was only a few hundred more. We usually got when there is a 1-2 days of teacher days or holidays and so less school missed but we also combined it with a few days at Disney too (again military rates). I would never pay $10K. Even what we paid was high for what it was. We went October/November a year ago. The downside is there were mainly younger kids.
Looking at the website it was a Veranda.
Your talking about a price of $4K for a family of 3 and the pp is talking about 9k for a family of 5. You’re also talking about off season vs prime season. My kids and I are booked on the Fantasy next Oct in a Verandah and I paid $3800 for the 3 of us.
Of course you don't go prime and then complain about the price. It isn't $5-6K more for 2 extra kids in the room.
There's also a difference between verandahs. You could have the cheapest verandah room.
No, we had a really good view and it was a better room. The first room they assigned us to got terrible reviews and was right above the theatre so I complained as I wanted quiet to get our child to bed at a reasonable hour so they moved us and gave us a better room. The cheapest verandah room would have been fine as long as it was quiet and ok view. October/November it was still a bit hot but great time to go. If we have a choice, we always go then. We went once to Disney in September and it was still too hot.
