Anyway,  my husband doesn’t want to go to another party we have been invited to so I want to make staying in, building a nice fire, popping some champagne and cozying up with a nice movie night with the kids make for a fun way to ring in the new year.

I think your plans sound nice...better than a party even.

It might not even be you. Maybe they made the party more focused on their kids and invited kids more kids' friends. Maybe it's more work focused or something.[/quote]
