The victim herself probably wouldn't even want him to spend that long in prison. That's awful. That's practically the bulk of his life. He'll be an old man when he gets out. So sad.
I agree that Tricia would not have wanted it, her father side of the family agreed to the plea bargain because “they were not vengeful people.” But saying it’s so sad and awful that this man, if they can be called a man, will spend practically the bulk of his life in jail? Excuse me! What about Tricia, who had contributed so much in her life, and was headed onward to a very good place in life – what about her life? And what about the lives of her family and we who knew and loved her for decades? You don’t find that sad? You don’t find that awful? I need to stay informed on this case, to try to come to terms, to find some peace, to perhaps even accept – but so many of us never will. Add that to the toll in terms of human life, and tell me again how awful it is that this reprehensible man has to spend so long in prison that it will compose the bulk of his life. Remember, he took a very precious life, an artist and a healer. I’m afraid to say I can find no circumstances would could mitigate this. And he took a part of many peoples life with her. As we approach the one year anniversary, I wish Tricia peace, and hope that we loved her may someday find our peace, including peace and quiet from insensitive folk like you. It’s not that hard, Just try to think a moment before you hit send. It could spare many people on hold emotional upset, and I would be personally grateful.
