What else was he supposed to say back to a card like that? Could he have said more? Sure, but this does not mean he isn't interested in her. [b]He is still interested in her[/b]

If my ex sent me a sympathy card, addressed to me and my family what else is there to say but thank you?

No mention of missing me, no mention of wanting to get back together, nothing. I would just take it as a kind gesture and respond accordingly.
