Frankly, I thought the portrayal of a Jewish family in this show was stereotypical - not in a bad way, but very much what you'd expect an UMC Jewish family of that era to be like. The competition for the rabbi to come to Yom Kippur dinner, the "best" seats in synagogue, the FIL owning a garment factory, etc. etc. Very stereotypical - but again, not in a negative way.[/quote]
