If there is a way to protect your privacy and still leave input, I think your experience will help drive change at that school. I have only heard about parents indicating the policy is that children have to perform one full grade level below their current grade in order to get help. I'm sure a lot of us agree that we want to step in as soon as we notice anything amiss and not wait one minute. We would all hope, the [b]school[/b], would be the source of our greatest support. It makes no sense. When we have a leak in our pipes, we don't wait for a flood before we fix it.
