I'm "NASA guy" who commented a lot prior to the eclipse.  I have worked at NASA's G*dd*rd Space Flight Center for many years (for a while, our name was unfortunately barred due to some preschool troll). ERHS is walking distance down Greenbelt Rd from GSFC.  One positive I note for ERHS students is that there are a number of opportunities every year for ERHS magnet students to attend programs at GSFC designed for advanced STEM students.  We have a HS internship program that brings a lot of ERHS students to GSFC for about 9-10 weeks in the summer working with some very interesting projects in Earth and Space Science and Engineering.  ERHS drama students have been guests at our community theater productions.  ERHS students also have attended workshops and open houses on center.  They can be invited to attend presentations by our college interns at the end of the college intern programs.  I see ERHS students on center multiple times throughout the year.  These are opportunities that are not available as routinely to Blair students.[/quote]
