[/quote] My family gets together every month or two, 4 of the 6 of us are married and have kids. We all ended up going to college and work in a range of professional areas. We do celebrate birthdays. My parents have never really had friends since they left. they are each other's best friends and they have many acquaintances but no friends they spend time with. They did become actively involved in a church for a few years but mostly have directed their energy to helping other people.[/quote]
