Be spontaneous as much as possible - I understand with kids/job there's only so much you can do - but trying to live life as fully as possible will help.

Don't piss off your ex wife too much - chances are she or her friends somehow know the lady you're trying to hook up with - six degreees if separation and all.

Be funny, women lie to laugh...just don't steal my material.  Get you're own bit.

And I can stress this one enough...once again be fit and approachable.  Having a good body does go a long way. As does not being an asshat.  You'd be shocked how often I get approached just being me and having a smile on my face.  I'm the lovable dad everyone likes.
