[/quote] I'm really sorry your mom suffered with ALS, I can only imagine how difficult that must have been for everyone involved. Although very different from ALS, Crohns can most certainly leave someone incapaciated/helpless/nonfunctional depending on how the disease progresses. Going to the bathroom 30+ times a day, dealing with things like fistulas and recovering from bowel resection surgeries isn't exactly a cake walk, but regardless, it's not a competition. Living with a chronic illness sucks. [/quote]
