Don't mind (b) as much as (a).

I am not going to wade into an argument on the most objective way to measure smartness, but what we have this time is the Cogat score, Inview scores, MAP scores and grades in the first marking period that all factored in to the HGC decision, along with the teacher recommendation.  A lot of posts in this forum seem to be making scapegoats of the teachers.  Is there a possibility that the kids that got in actually had higher scores in all those "objective" measures and were actually "smarter"?[/quote]
