I always loved the actor who played Alex from his days on Parenthood.  The kids all looked college aged or older but I guess it's hard finding actors that are older yet look like high schoolers.  I watched the after show.  I think that was a good way to discuss the characters especially how painful physically it was for Hannah when she was committing suicide.
