As a 22+ year vegetarian, I would never assume that a host would bear the costs (monetarily or otherwise) of accommodating a most particular diet. Also, my sister who was vegan for awhile and has also been vegetarian for 22 years, got breast cancer in her 30s. Who knows what causes cancer, but it wasn't meat in her case.[/quote]
