I was at the live lottery today as well and my pk3 kiddo got a number in the high 70s. The guy said this was a good number since they got to around 100 on the list last year. I'm skeptical that anyone with a number in the 70s (or 60s) or above will get a spot. Thoughts?
I wouldn't hold my breath. Since they don't participate in My School DC the list doesn't get "cleaned" of students that prefer another school more and get matched there. It is hard to say how far they will go in their list, and the historical data isn't available like it is for MSDC schools.
i think 60s and 70s sounds right. The list can move fast if they hit a run of kids who decline or have left town. It's very hard to say, though.
+1. All you can do is wait though.
Or declin or transfer because they realize the school's admin has really bungled this latest criminal and PR issue
I don't know of a single person leaving or transferring. I do know that the consensus at lamb is that most of the people posting hateful things about the school don't actually send children there.
People will likely not make leave or transfer decisions until after he common lottery, no?
But this scandal broke after the MSDC timeline, so if they are less than K and/or their IB is a non-starter, families who want to move may be screwed
Good points, but some do lottery to cover their bases or a youger sibling lotteries as a safety option. The younger sib could then pull in the older if they match somewhere.
