I don't know the details, but I am pretty sure that this 22 year old rule is due to federal law--not local. I don't think the school systems have a choice. That is why it is so important to stop the illegal flow into the US. We don't even know for sure that these "kids" are 22--they could be 30.
Yes they are allowed o enroll in our public schools free of charge and with reduced documentation. 1 high school in Fairfax County [Stuart-Mason district] got 47 undoc/illegals just in 2017. A county commissioner has the bodies piling up in Mason district from MS13. http://wtop.com/fairfax-county/2017/03/local-leader-gang-crime-angry/ 47 people is about 3 or 4 ESL classrooms and teachers. That school, Bailey's, got so large with illegals/anchors that FCPS had to rent and retrofit an office building. Obama opened the floodgates with his dreamers and gave us NO money for them. But why should the federl govt use our funds for them? Obama should have to pay with a personal check. FCPS should have them all in an old empty elementary school [is one exists]. What are they doing with Graham Rd? Publicize the cost of running the site: building, maintenance, staff, food, transportation. Send Obama the bill.
