I'm all about the magic of childhood and making a big deal about Santa, the tooth fairy and the Easter Bunny. I've never heard of doing these things. Why are you doing them? Are you pretending to be a leprechaun? I never thought they were real and neither do my kids. They wore green yesterday and that's it. I don't know of any parent that does this. You know, as an Irish-American, the idea that celebrating St Patrick's day means putting food coloring in the toilet bowl comes across as rather insulting.  It's great that it's "easy to do", but it's pretty far afield from anything Irish.  Watch a parade, wear green, listen to music, eat some soda bread, that might be a better approach. [/quote]

I'm not talking about the toilet water, I'm talking about having the leperchaun come by and drop off little gifts or candy (we did those gold chocolate coins). Same thing as the Easter Bunny IMO.[/quote]
