We have in-service days at our preschool for which I'll need to take off (my wife is saving her leave in case she needs extra time after surgery to recover).  Plus my parents will celebrate their 60th anniversary this summer and we are committed to a couple of special events out of town for the celebrations.   So taking a day of leave for a protest is a day of leave neither of us can afford right now.

And we are in the top 10%, so we count ourselves fortunate to have decent paying jobs and savings to afford being unemployed and medical leave.  But we still can't afford a day of protest.[/quote]
