One difference between Trump and Bill Clinton: Clinton did not say he wanted to build a wall and have Mexico pay for it!
Maybe not in those words, exactly. But here's Bill Clinton, in his own words, talking about illegal aliens taking our jobs, taking our welfare benefits, stressing out public services, and how we, as Americans, need to stop illegal aliens from entering the U.S.: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7AXizmhgi0 On C-Span. He recieved a standing ovation for his comments on stopping illegal aliens entering the U.S.
+100 I posted that clip on another thread and got no response from Democrats. Crickets. Bill Clinton's views on illegal immigration are the same as Trump's. And Democrats at the time applauded him. The Dem. party has gone way too far left in the subsequent years.
I agree. The party has gone too far left. It has also failed to prioritize: the economy and working-class jobs should have come way before "transgender bathroom laws." One could argue that jobs were a greater priority, but that wouldn't be the PERCEPTION many voters were left with.
I SOOOOO Agree! The Transgender bathroom was the straw that broke the democratic camels back. Please can we get back to what effects EVERYONE, not just a few? We need to take most social issues out of politics. And that goes both ways. The right needs to get their grubby little hands off my ovaries.
I am the PP - and a pro-choice republican/libertarian. Thank you! The republicans - especially the Virginia republicans - need to let go of the choice issue. Roe is NEVER GOING AWAY. I'll add: I doubt that Roberts - who upheld the ACA - and Gorsuch, have any interest in reversing the long-standing precedent of Roe and its progeny. Anyway, my best to you; I think we would get along if we ever meet (reasonable people usually do).
