I know someone that worked at a Montessori and I kid you not she's the dumbest person I know. Very sweet and means well but I mean DIM. We are talking lacking both intelligence and common sense. Cannot spell common words. Scary that she was an assistant teacher.  She worked for a long time at a school out-of-state and could not keep a job at the schools here so at least she was weeded out. I'm a teacher at a K-12 independent, and I can assure you it IS true.  Most elementary teachers are just not very bright.  They are generally very warm, energetic, good people, though, in my experience.  [/quote]
