It was NOT normal. back when you were 11. Puberty is coming earlier and earlier for girls now. And it's worrisome to scientists.

np, yes, 11 was in the range of normal.30 years ago.  That is when both my mother and I got our periods.  There is always a range.  Perhaps you should check your condescending tone.[/quote]

Nobody is disputing that the average age of menarche has dropped. We are, however, saying that it has always been well within the range of normal for a girl to get her first period at 11.[/quote]
