The traditional republican base would throw Congress a ticker tape parade. Trump's base, on the other hand, would lose their sh*t. But Trump's base and the Republican base are not the same. So the question is, which do Rs fear more in the midterm election? The Rust Belt may want Trump, for now. But the stroke belt God and Guns crew, plus Florida and probably Texas really want Pence.
