There isn't ultimately a "point" to anything, since we're all going to die. The next best thing is to try to help others. After that, live and let live. Forcing a child to compete is a fruitless endeavor, and is quite different from providing a child with opportunities to try new things and potentially develop lifelong hobbies.[/quote]
