+1 Trump's picks aren't really conservatives. They are marginalized fringe extremists or screw ups that have been passed over by both conservatives and moderate republicans for competency, criminal, or toxic reasons.

The problem here is that Trump is prioritizing who was loyal to him during the election and the best and the brightest Republicans were against him. With the exception of Priebus, you really are stuck with just a collection of losers looking for any on-ramp back into relevance and leadership. Trump is also making a circus out of this parading each candidate through the wall of media, having them wait outside visibly like contestants. This showmanship is to counter the real problems that this transition team is having finding 4000 qualified people willing to choke down working for the clown car administration. He is trying ti create a visible show of how many people want to work for him when the pickings are slim for him. [/quote]
