The bolded words should be [b]you're[/b], not your.  [i]You're[/i] is a contraction of two words, [i]you[/i] and [i]are[/i], that have been combined.  [i]You're[/i] is a shortcut.  The apostrophe (') represents the missing letter [i]a[/i].  [b]Your[/b] describes something belonging to you and it is always followed by a noun or gerund.

[i]You're welcome [/i]versus [i]here is your helmet[/i].  [i]You're going to pay more attention in ELA, right[/i]? versus [i]Your ELA tutor is here, dear[/i].

I agree with much of what you're saying but your spelling errors are a distraction from the quality of your content.  If your response is to mock…well, then, that says a lot more about you than me.  I do not know where you go to high school but, wherever it is, you are not doing enough writing if you are still making this error.  Something to think about.[/quote]
