Most then learn they have no leverage and then decide to stay with what's offered because maybe the club is right about the kid's talents/ability and it's often too hard to change clubs.
And the club will get a reputation for forcing players to play down. Which will mean that Aug and younger players will avoid the club. Or parents will make it clear when trying out that they wont allow their kid to play on a grade down team. Or just adopt a policy that Aug and younger players will play with their grade team. Be it A or B team.
How has this guy not been banned yet?
Unfortunate but they don't ban based on repeated delusional, ignorant comments. In his head he has created an alternate reality where he is right simply so his DD can have an easier path and no amount of facts will dissuade him. Heck he hasn't even been able to come up with alternate "facts" from anywhere and he still thinks he is right. He actually said at one point that officials are making decisions based on his comments in DCUM. This is my first forum and I am guessing that that every one is ruined by someone like him. Guessing that the mods actually don't care that the conversation is garbage as long as it seems like it has active for the advertisers.
You realize that Arlington just updated their BY to SY FAQ to address the Aug-Sept younger player issue. They did this because its an issue and will continue to be an issue until leagues provide some type of guidance.
That's the delusional part. They still say everybody plays on age, best can play up. Nobody forced up. Nothing changed.
They updated the FAQ and added a section about Aug-Sept younger birthdays last night. They did this because they realized that its an issue.
Arlington added "School grade may be considered as part of the evaluation" seems like theyre acknowledging grade in school could be a deciding factor in which team they place players.
They didn't change anything, you are relying on may/seems/could. These still stand; "Q: How does this affect my player if they’re born in August–December? A: These players are most likely to shift age groups. " "Q: Can players play up an age group? A: Playing up is a coaching and technical decision based primarily on the player’s skill level, soccer maturity, and overall development needs. While Arlington Soccer allows flexibility in certain cases, playing up is the exception rather than the rule. Each situation is carefully evaluated by the technical staff to ensure it is in the best interest of both the individual player and the team."
Why do you lie? Q: Can a player born between August 1 and September 30 play up if they are in the higher school grade? A: School grade may be considered as part of the evaluation, but the decision to allow a player to play up is ultimately based on technical criteria including the player’s skill, maturity, and readiness for the older age group. Grade alone does not guarantee that a player will play up.
You can't even read your own rubbish properly - the decision to allow a player to play up is ultimately based on technical criteria -
But then why does it say.... School grade may be considered as part of the evaluation
This is because if a player wants to play in College they need to be with thier grade even if its with a second or third team. If the players doesnt want to ball in college they can play down but it prolly will not be at the expense of a kid playing at grade on a first team. They will find themselves at a smaller club and not in the ECNL world.
Thank you! Exactly correct. 🙌
It would have saved you effort to group the last 4 posts into one instead of constantly parroting yourself. Stats show odds increase on chances to play in college if you are the oldest in the age group and least if you are the youngest. Clubs make these decisions and they pick age with the best of the best getting an opportunity to play up. You should stop giving advise.
